Sheikhupura is an industrial city in the Punjab province of Pakistan, located in the northwest of Lahore. It is known for its historical places, and is commonly known as “Fort (fort) Sheikhupura” because of the fort in the city built by the Mughal Emperor Jahangir. Sheikhupura city is a day trip from Lahore. The famous Hiran Minar, waris shah tomb and Sheikhupura fort is located here. The history of Sheikhupura dates back to 1000 BC.
