We started the day with the intent of covering some of southern Kyoto with the main aim of getting to the Inari Shrine, the famous shrine which has many red torii. On the way we stopped at Tofuku-Ji, a Buddhist temple with a nice garden.

After that we made our way further south before finally getting to the Inari Shrine, as you will see from the video, there are hundreds of torii gates and it really is beautiful. It hides a secret though, because it starts off very tranquil but as you walk behind the main shine and continue to walk through the torii, you start going up hill and before you know it you are climbing Inari mountain! By the time you realise, you may as well continue, and when we thought we had reached the top, we were in for another surprise because we found more steps leading up after going down for a little bit. It was a good walk though and seeing all the torii really is fantastic.
