Schistny walnuts. Low-growing nuts Skoroplodny and low-growing walnuts, obtained by walnut grower Shulgin LS from Kharkov as a result of selection of Chinese frost-resistant nuts from the province of Yanzy. These stunted nuts have a number of advantages over the large nuts growing in Ukraine, namely:
- trees are fast-growing and high-yielding. It begins to bear fruit in the second year after planting with an annual sapling;
- enters full fructification for 6-7 year;
- fruits are large, thin-walled, full filling of the shell with the core;
- compact tree, no more than 5 m high;
- increased frost resistance. For 16 years of cultivation in the Poltava region near the Dikanka district center of tree death from frost Ustikovich V.A. was not observed.

Low-growing nuts are propagated by seeds (nuts) and seedlings.
