The Republic of China Air Force (ROCAF), abbreviated as ROCAF, is the aerial armed force of the Republic of China (ROC) and is a branch of the ROC Armed Forces. It operates under the command of the ROC Ministry of National Defense Air Force Command Headquarters, which oversees several subordinate commands, including the Air Force Operational Command, Air Force Air Defense and Missile Command, Air Force Education, Training and Doctrine Development Command, Air Force Maintenance Command, Air Force Academy, as well as various operational squadrons and base commands.

The mission of the Republic of China Air Force encompasses a range of responsibilities. During peacetime, it involves patrolling and safeguarding the airspace over the Taiwan Strait, ensuring robust preparedness and troop training, bolstering combat capabilities for readiness, actively assisting in disaster relief efforts, and diligently maintaining air defense. In times of conflict, its primary objective is to secure air superiority and collaborate with the army and navy in conducting various joint operations, effectively leveraging the air force's combat capabilities to neutralize invading enemies and safeguard the nation's territorial integrity.
