Theoretically, a Long GOP codec should have problems with moving images and artifacts will arise, but let's take a closer look and check whether theory agrees with reality as expected - or maybe it's not as bad as you think?

I'm mainly testing the Sony FX3, but the FX6 is similar, as is the A7S3 - probably more cameras are. These tests are criticism at a high level and this topic should not be relevant for the creating of social media content or interviews, for example. I mainly compare the ALL-I and Long GOP IPB h.264 options because h.265 doesn't support all framerates.
