Finally got out to test out the slow jigs and new Grappler rod in some deep water!

The Grappler PE 2.5 260gram slow pitch rod is a dream to use, and to my surprise it handles the deep water really good with deepest drop being 240m on a 240gram lure. I can imagine what the PE3 rod would be like... The backbone on this rod is amazing!

Pretty happy with landing a bluenose with Tai Rubber on light gear. Just need a bigger fish to really give it a good test.
