Following the demise of steam in the Midlands, the next generation of traction provided a wealth of interest to rail enthusiasts growing up in the 60s. For someone living in Birmingham the main choice lay between Snow Hill or New Street. Perhaps both for a day? Please note that this footage has been transferred directly from silent 8mm cine footage and no sound has been added.
