ABOUT Face Paint Club and About Me

My name is Katie. I started face painting kids at my local markets in 2011, and I've painted thousands of kids since then: at birthday parties, festivals, and all types of events. In 2012 I founded the Face Painting School, and in 2013, Face Paint Shop Australia.

In 2020, we launched the Face Paint Club - an all-in-one learning platform that brings together face painters of all levels. Face Paint Club offers a range of learning modes, variety of instructors, and a safe place to share, connect, and grow. There are no exams, after all, face painting is meant to be fun!

I'm here to share my best face painting tips with you, so I can pass on the knowledge and experience I've gained over the years. Because I don't want you to feel as overwhelmed as I did when I was learning how to face paint.

The face painting tutorials and designs you'll find on my channel are not fancy. They are simple face paint designs that I paint often, on the job, so I can say from my own experience, if you paint these designs, you'll be making kids happy.

I firmly believe you don't need to be an artist to be a great face painter! All you need is a sense of humor, quality products and tools (of course), and patience to learn a few essential tricks of the trade. The rest is having fun. Face painting is a really rewarding experience to enjoy with kids, and also a fabulous self-employment opportunity if you're looking for a weekend or side-hustle.

So whether you're getting started as a new face painter, wanting to learn face paint basics, or looking to add more fast and fun designs to your face paint menu, I hope you'll find what you need here at Face Paint Made Easy.

Make sure you subscribe to my channel for more face painting tips for beginners, easy kids face painting ideas, step by step face painting, tutorials, demos and more

FAQ:
Q: Is this a face paint design for beginners?
A: This face paint design features the onestroke face paint and double-dip flower techniques. I would definitely recommend anyone who face paints to practice and master both of these brush strokes. Which I believe are essential to fast face painting, beginners included. Yes it may take some time, but don't give up if at first you don't succeed. The onestroke face paint technique revolutionized face painting and I don't think I could paint anywhere near as fast, or as well, without using it. So practice and persevere until you 'get it'. I promise, it's worth it.

Q: How long does it take to face paint this design, in real life?
A: You should be able to paint this design in under 5 minutes, on the job (OTJ)

Q: What face paint to use?
A: There are lots of great quality face paint brands available. But always make sure you use only skin-safe face and body paint. For the best results, choose a trusted specialist supplier, like https://facepaintshopaustralia.com

Q: Where did you learn to face paint?
A: I started my face paint journey with YouTube and have been inspired by many other face painters. Social media gives us all the opportunity to share and grow together. I've also taken workshops, as well as organized workshops, with some of the world's best face painters. Including Nick Wolfe, Ronnie Mena, and Olga Murasev.
