In this video, I show what is involved in the installation of a Hammerhead Armor bumper onto my 2014 Ford F150 XLT. The factory (OEM) bumpers are a very weak point when it comes to any type of protection in the rear end. This new bumper is ¼” steel plate welded to have a snug fit around the truck AND adding much better protection from those occasional hits from really bad drivers or from a trailer disconnecting from the hitch and slamming into the rear of the truck (this has happened to me on a few occasions). I also chose to install new plastic grommets and new back up sensors which I list below that I purchased from EBay. Ford dealer by me, though a wholesaler, their prices were much higher than EBay prices. EBay are NOT an “OEM Ford” part but will replace the OEM Ford parts.
This is not a paid promotion from Hammerhead Armor or any of the other products I used in this video. All was purchased with my own funds.
