Meeting Avin Raju, a native of Anagamaly, all the way up in the markets of Ladakh was nothing but destiny. A typical case of Malayalee-meets-Malayalee, you could say. 23-year-old Avin and his story seemed nothing short of inspirational to me. It is passion and unwavering determination that led him to set out on a legendary journey, on a single-gear bicycle, from Angamaly in Kerala, all the way up to the mighty Himalayas. In doing the extraordinary, this guy has become the first person to reach Khardung-La pass, the world’s highest motorable place on a single-gear ride. I’m super excited to share with you the journey of Avin Raju, who I’d like to call the real life Ambili.
