Today I am riding the Purple trail, aka Rainy Dew Bypass, at the John Muir Mountain Bike Trails in Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest in La Grange, Wisconsin. The 4.7 mile trail begins on the easier Brown Loop (Green rated) and is described as a moderate trail (blue rated) with a hard rocky and and down hill before connecting with the Blue & Green Loop. It is a good ride for intermediate riders and above who don't have time to ride the entire Blue or Green trails, but still want to get a taste of what they are like.

All mountain bike trails in Southern Kettle Moraine allow bikes and hikers. Bikes go one direction and hikers go the opposite direction and are well marked. Weekends are especially busy so please be respectful of hikers and other riders who may be slower than you. Enjoy!

In this video I am riding my Surly Karate Monkey with a Fox 34 fork.
