Chef Tsuji reveals the most delicious, yet simple, Squash salad ever!

250g Squash
1/2 of an onion
50g bacon
60g cream cheese
2 cherry tomatoes
2g salt
1 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp salad oil
1 tbsp water


0:23 Cut one Squash in half.
It is easier to cut from the back side.
Remove the seeds.
Cut the Squash in half to make a quarter (250g).
Remove the stems.
Remove the skin.
Cut into smaller pieces.

1:28 Soak lead paper in water.
Place the Squash on the paper.
Wrap the Squash in the paper and place in a bag.

1:58 Warm the Squash in the microwave for 5 minutes.
Stick a metal skewer into the Squash to check the hardness.

2:20 Transfer to a bowl.
Mash the Squash with a fork.

2:43 Add a pinch of salt (1g) and stir well.
Add 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise and stir well.

3:03 Cut half of the onion into 1 cm cubes.
Cut 50 g of bacon into 1 cm cubes.
Cut 60 g of cream cheese into 1 cm cubes.

4:25 Turn the heat on high and add a tablespoon of salad oil.
Add the bacon before the onions to release the bacon's aroma.
When the bacon is fragrant, add the onions.

At 5:01, turn the heat to low and fry.
Add a pinch of salt (1g).
When cooked, add a tablespoon of water and mix well.

5:29 Turn off the heat and transfer to a bat.
Remove from heat and mix with Squash.
Add the cream cheese.
Mix well.

6:02 Serve.
Garnish with two cherry tomatoes and you're done!
