Chester bridge construction update for 9-17-2024. This is a quick pier 6 recap of the 1000 yard pour yesterday for a total of 1400 yards altogether for the base which is finished now. You can see the two forms that go over the rebar cages coming out of the base on the barge that is just downstream. It is interesting how they are pumping water through cooling tubes for the concrete to stay cool. you will see that too. It dries a lot harder by keeping the temperature down while curing. Towards the end you can see the base where the tower crane will be mounted. It's in the center of the two cages.
