🎋This Summer 2024, I was fortunate enough to get selected for the Japanese‐Language Program for Counterpart Japanese Learners (University Students) Summer Program 2024, organized by The Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute, Kansai. At first, I thought it was a great opportunity for me to practice my Japanese, and to travel around Japan and to experience Japanese culture. Besides, it was also fully-funded!

🎐But, never have I ever expected it to be a life-changing experience that had impacted me in so many ways.

📌In 6 weeks, I had travelled to 7 cities and prefectures, visited 5+ UNESCO World Heritage sites, and became friends with more than 36 people coming from 18 countries.

📌I learnt how to plan a trip for 8 people 2 days before traveling, how to cook a Vietnamese meal for 15 people in a small a cozy kitchen, and how to have fun time by the beach with people but still managed to submit the deadline on time.

📌And last but not least, I learnt how to open my heart, to give love and except love from my surroundings.

🙂‍↕️It’s hard to share with everyone in detail about the changes I have had, not to mention, I also want to gatekeep it all to myself. However, I have prepared a small video to recap my 44 days in Japan. Please take a look!

Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture, University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, The Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam and The Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute, Kansai for giving me the chance to participate in the Summer Program 2024. And the biggest thank you 36 participants for making this summer one of my most memorable moments!
