Hello, and welcome back to another train trip report on my channel.

In this video I will be travelling on-board a CrossCountry Class 220 'Voyager' from Manchester Piccadilly to Birmingham New Street.

This is a journey between the two biggest population centres in the UK outside of London, so by all means a very important route. Despite this, the service is operated with diesel units. There are two types of unit on this train, a Class 220 'Voyager', and a Class 221 'Super Voyager', the latter previously being able to tilt, until this feature was removed due to cost.

These trains are well known for being extremely hated, thanks to their overcrowding and other problems, but how bad are they to ride in 2021? Find out in the video now!

Enjoy the video. :)
