The next few weeks I will be covering hula basics . This video is on the kaholo and kawelu . Remember to sit and do not bounce up or down. Practice getting your feet right 1st( dance with your hands on your hips) then when you are ready to move on you can incorporate your hands.I hope this helps those who want to learn but can't join a halau for whatever reason. The music is Keali'i Reichel, e o Mai album, song is " Ka 'opihi o kanapau "- so you can download it and practice. If it's feels too fast I suggest doing just kaholo to the song one time through then play the song again just working on kawelu. Next week we will work on 2 more hula basics and I promise to wear pants! Hahaha. At the end of the basics series we will do a full "warm up with me" routine with Pa'u skirt so you can see how it looks.
