This charming small town in the Midwest was the site of our family vacation this year. With 4 adults and 4 kids in tow (plus one on the way which counts as a 1/2 a person at the moment) we wanted a place where we could both gather all together and hide from one another if you know what I mean. This Airbnb was the perfect fit. I have been a super host in the past so I know a good airbnb when I find one--this one surpassed all of our expectations! The place was immaculate and had cozy, thoughtful touches in every room. We had a ball together!
Galena is a small town in northwest Illinois known for its well preserved 19th Century buildings. If not for the modern retail therapy that takes place there, you might think Galena was frozen in time. The downtown is a charming mix of retail, restaurants, coffee shops, and candy stores. 85% of the town is a national historic district. With rolling hills and lush valleys this charming getaway is a must see!
