Here, we have the bittersweet moments in Season 2 Ep13. Merlin’s father was revealed to him by Gaius when the need arise to handle Kilgharrah, the Dragon. Bittersweet moments that the father and son learnt of each other’s existence for the first time and shared what turned out to be, their one and only time together. Father passed on the legacy to Merlin - the last of Dragonlords.
