Police deployed at the headquarters of the Uganda People’s Congress on Uganda House in Kampala after a group aligned to party President Jimmy Akena forced their way into the building. They said they had acted, upon learning of a plan by another faction to have the building closed. Akena’s group faulted its representatives at the Milton Obote Foundation, the outfit that manages the estate. Akena was recently sworn in as president in the midst of ongoing hostility with another faction which supports Olara Otunnu
