Friends, this has been a long time coming. For over a year, I've been wanting to make an edit for John B and Sarah with their new scenes from season 3-- like I did for JJ and Kie and Pope and Cleo--but I just couldn't seem to find the right song. I guess that's because it didn't exist yet! It's only been a month since "The Tortured Poet's Department" dropped and honestly, I'm not a fan of it as a whole, but there are a few select songs that I really do like. "But Daddy I Love Him" stands out for me because of how much it reminds me of John B and Sarah. The strained relationship between a girl and her father, the desire she has to escape the toxic culture she was raised in, the whirlwind romance she goes through with a misunderstood boy and how hard she fights to be with him: check check and check! I'm so relieved that Chase and Madelyn were able to set aside their real-life breakup for the sake of the show because John B and Sarah are one of the biggest draws to Outer Banks. It wouldn't be the same without them. They've had some pretty low lows, but their highs always make up for it and I really hope they continue to grow together as a couple in season 4. My babes deserve to be happy damnit! Thanks for watching and happy Pogue Season :D
