Here's what you'll need:

Leftover fabric
A sewing machine

Instructions:

Gather your materials.
If you're using a pattern, cut out the pieces according to the instructions. If you're not using a pattern, simply measure your body and cut out two pieces of fabric for the front and back of the vest.
Sew the front and back pieces together at the shoulders and sides.
