The largest and most innovative threshing machine from John Deere arrives in Italy for the 2021 Demo Tour: X9 1100! 🤩
Currently it is located in the Venetian countryside, near Jesolo (which can be seen in the background in the shots from above), by the Massignani team. This is also the very first model to arrive on Italian soil, and also one of the very few models in Europe!
The X9, in addition to being in fact one of the largest threshers in the world, differs from all other models currently offered by John Deere in that it has the largest feederhouse on the market. This, together with the new dual rotor threshing and separation system, and the largest cleaning system in the industry, work together to improve crop flow and increase harvesting capacity.
The X9 1100 is capable of harvesting grain up to 100 tons per hour with less than 1% grain loss. "As conditions change, the X9 combine makes automatic adjustments so it is constantly operating at the highest level," said Jonathan Edwards, product marketing manager at John Deere.
The X9 series consists of two models: 1000 and 1100, both powered by the brand new 13.6 liter six-cylinder John Deere PowerTech ™ diesel engine capable of developing up to 700 hp (515 kW). As with the 9000 Series self-propelled forage harvesters, the X9 also adopts the HarvestMotion concept, a robust belt drive system that offers 20% lower fuel consumption and 30% higher torque, as well as using a lower engine speed ( and then it can reach 40 km / h on the road).
Also not to be overlooked is the head, in this model it measures 12 meters, thanks to the double system of belts and upper augers, it guarantees impressive feeding performance. In addition, the frame is designed to actively adapt to the ground, which allows you to collect all the product and yet avoid external objects.
The grain tank holds 130 quintals fully loaded, and here we want to mention the unloading system: the hopper of the X9 1100 has a capacity of 16,200 liters, with unloading speeds of up to 186 liters / sec (to unload the full body there takes only 1 minute and 20 seconds).
In the cabin, the comfort is total, unprecedented views and advanced and intelligent control systems (product control in real time with the possibility of also controlling recovery).
This machine has really impressed those who have seen it, unmatched productivity and top of the range yields. And despite its size, we are sure it will be successful in the Italian market!

Little anecdote: this thresher has been baptized by everyone with the name of "Katrina", because it collects and cleans everything without leaving anything on the ground!
