Purandara Daasa also known as Purandara Dasaru and Karnataka Sangeetha Pithamaha. Purandara daasa was an Indian philosopher, Haridasaru, a greatest composer of Carnatic music, an excellent devotee of Lord Udupi Sri Krishna, a Madhva poet, a saint and a social reformer who follow Dvaita philosophy. He was praised from his guru sri Vyasatirtharu during a song thus: Dāsarendare purandara dāsarayya.
