Meet Luke’s WishMaker Dr. Namrata! Namrata is a pediatric kidney specialist and enthusiastic about referring kids for wishes. “I think wishes are the most important part of treatment.” While she had heard about Make-A-Wish, Namrata was unsure how to get involved until a colleague told her about the local chapter’s Medical Advisory Council. “I said, hey, do you have a kidney specialist on there? ... I can be that person. I can do something. I can help and bring a different perspective.” Namrata loves working with children and has two little ones of her own. One of her favorite things about wish granting is seeing the glow of excitement within her patients when they receive their wish. “Make-A-Wish has helped me become a better physician.
