After an awesome half weekend in Dallas watching the Colorado Avalanche take on the Dallas Stars in a preseason game, it’s time to head back home.

I had the best seat—11F, an emergency exit window seat with no one in front of me! The only hiccup? A flight attendant’s jump seat right across from me. We shared an awkward moment of eye contact, but I quickly got lost in the view outside as I filmed the takeoff.

Overall, the flight was smooth sailing… until we approached Tucson, where it was a sweltering 106 degrees! It got a bit bumpy, but that’s pretty standard. Definitely not as smooth as our landing on the way to Dallas!

And a big shout out to the flight attendant who surprised me with two mini bottles of gin! It’s always nice to enjoy that little perk in main cabin extra.
