Some of you may recall that I got this clock three years ago from my friend and colleague, Steve Houg, whom I used to work with at my workplace until he retired a few years ago. His father in-law passed away three years ago, and Steve asked me on the phone if I was interested in this clock, and I told him yes. It had a few minor problems when I first got it, but I managed to get it working again after putting the weights in their proper places and adjusting the chiming mechanism so the clock would chime correctly. I also adjusted the pendulum leader, allowing the clock to tick in beat. I don't know when the grandfather clock's movement was last serviced, but the clock has been running flawlessly ever since then. Steve's father in law would be very happy to know it's ticking proudly again.
