As someone who fell in love with cycling, this year has seen my worst times with regard to injury keeping me off the bike, resulting in surgery on my spine.
I had no idea how tough I'd find coping with the recovery process mentally including how side effects and withdrawal symptoms of strong medication have made me feel so ill and messed with my head.
Here is my experience , hoping it will help others be aware of the pitfalls involved.
