Tama a calico cat was born in Kinokawa; on April 29, 1999, and grew up with a group of stray cats who lived near Kishi Station. They were regularly fed by passengers and by Toshiko Koyama. the informal manager of the station at the time.
Tama rose to fame as a station master and operations officer at Kishi Station, on the Kishigawa Line in Kinokawa in Japan. she died on 22 June 2015.
