This is our first winter in our Ford Transit Connect Micro Camper van. Our biggest question is how well will our micro camper van do in the cold? Today we put our van to the test to find that answer!

We insulated our van during the conversion process but did not know how well our insulation worked or if it made a difference. We parked at a local trail head and spent the night in 32 degree weather to see how warm the Ford Transit Connect would be. We slept in a sleeping bag but also had an electric blanket and Mr. Buddy Heater just in case it was too cold! Luckily the van stayed relatively comfortable as we slept and we were able to enjoy our first winter van life experience.

In the morning, we hike to the Eternal Flame in Western New York!
