Lindau is a city on Lake Constance in the German state of Bavaria. It is known for its old town island. In the harbor there is the statue of the Bavarian Lion and the stone Lindau lighthouse with a view of the lake and the mountains. The Mangturm from the 12th century, a former watchtower with a pointed tiled roof, stands on the lake promenade at the harbor. The Gothic old town hall with its painted facade is located near Maximilianstrasse, which is lined with restaurants.
