It's been a tough summer for Tasmania, and the widespread bushfire crisis has resulted in many of my plans to be scrapped. North-west Tasmania was mostly unaffected however, so I car camped in the area, and decided to head up Black Bluff. I had the entire place to myself as I tried out my new gaiters, marvelled at the wonderful Paddys Lake, admired the views from the summit, and loved the easy off track walking to the high point of the range (that is the Abel). All up, a solid 6 hour trip (most would take a little longer though).
