The video demonstrates how to measure phospholipid binding of per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) using immobilized artificial membrane (IAM) chromatography. Nature cannot metabolise easily these compounds that are often used in fire extinguishers, and therefore, they accumulate in the environment. IAM chromatography provides a tool to estimate these compounds' aquatic toxicity and in vivo distribution.
