goodbye legends, goodbye king and queen of god-awful send-offs


Apologies for the overused song ... although, in my defence, I haven't quite seen it edited to a non-romantic ship so far.
I just wanted to highlight their similarites, their initial loner, devil-may-care-attitude, their propensity to isolate themselves, how they tend to get defensive and push people away, their sometimes questionable sense of morality ... and underneath it all their big hearts and fragilities, and their fucked up parental histories.
And of course how they understood each other on a fundamental level, how they saw the best and the worst in each other, how they were there for one another when their entire world fell apart, how they supported each other over the years and pushed each other to be better and do better, and to keep trying.

To me they are the true core of the show, the one relationship I cherish above all else, and the entirety of everything they are pulls at heart strings like nothing else.

The only wish i have is for one last scene between them ... a girl can dream, you never know on this show. #greysanatomy #alexkarev #meredithgrey
