In this video we are going to go over the NIH Stroke Scale. We will go through each section of the stroke scale one by one with demonstration. We will also show you how to document it in meditech. Documentation will be similar, no matter what your hospital uses. The main thing is that your supposed to perform one test at a time and document as you go.
This video was created for our ICU nursing skills, however, the this can be performed on pretty much any unit in the hospital. Every nurse would benefit from familiarizing themselves with this scale and the more you practice, the better it gets.
