The original contract was terminated when it became clear that the required ten foot deep footing excavation was too close to a temporary support tower. The follow on contractor began by re-supporting the threatened temporary tower with drilled in piles (mini piles). With the tower re-supported he excavated in lifts, supporting each lift with shotcrete and soil nails. The process is fully explained in photos and videos.
