I harvested a hitch from the Buddha Bronco for Clifford! This will allow us to pull Little Enos behind Clifford and gives Kenny another truck he can count on to use! Join us as we make good use of a beautiful Saturday! The Buddha Bronco is the ports truck that keeps on giving! We have harvested so many useful pieces from this carcass a;ready and here you catch me taking the hitch off. After cleaning the corn flakes off of it, an old saying that my shop foreman Jim Thompson used to describe removing the paint chips and loose corrosion from something before painting it, I soaked the hitch in self etching primer and headed to Marty Reagan's True Value in Slovan PA to get a bag of Pig Mats and a can of Black Spray Paint. Kenny returned from an early morning run where he picked up the parts truck for Larry to become a 4X4. With a new Bullnose on the property everything has to stop and we need to take it out to see how everything performs. This truck is a 1986 F150, EFI 302 with the AOD and will make the perfect donor for the Larry project. 3:55 gears and a limited slip rear end. After we returned from a little run in Larry's Parts Donor we got back to it on Clifford and drilled the 6 1/2" holes needed for the hitch, Kenny made short work of this and we got everything mounted and even hooked up a trailer plug for lights. Clifford now has a receiver and can be used to tow a bumper pull trailer as well as the 5th wheel. Thanks for hanging out with us here at Mongo's Garage, we will see you again soon!
