The capital of Guangdong Province, Guangzhou has a rich contingent in highly skilled, senior martial arts masters. One of these is 77 year old Lai Chiu Wah Sifu. He is one of the most senior students of the late master Wong Wu Fong (aka “Mai Gei" Wong), who was one of the most well-known Wing Chun practitioners in Guangzhou of his time. Later, Lai Sifu also had the privilege of learning from Wing Chun masters Wong Jing and Sum Nung.

Taking up the art of Wing Chun in the mid-1960s, Lai Sifu is a veteran of the art and has been active in passing the art for more than 50 years. He is one of the most successful teachers in Guangzhou.

His students have since brought the teachings of Lai Sifu to other places in China, such as Guangxi province and even abroad, as far as the USA and Western Europe. Even today Lai Sifu is still relentless in his efforts to pass on Gung Fu to the next generations, teaching in various locations in Guangzhou city.
