This BSA A65 came in with reported knocking from the bottom end. it allegedly had a very expensive and comprehensive rebuild. If you judge a book by the cover, it certainly would have seemed to be the case, but not so, otherwise many times more than the 1500 miles this machine apparently managed would have been covered before any much less severe wear would have been found.
I was genuinely shocked at how bad this one was, mechanically.
