k2 and Gondogoro La trek is in the Karakoram mountains of Pakistan. k2 is the second highest mountain in the world and walking to the base camp of this mighty mountain is considered to be one of the best walking journeys in the world.

K2 and Gondogoro La trek start point is usually Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. From Islamabad you will take a 45 minus spectacular mountain view flight to Skardu. Skardu is the capital of Baltistan and it is also the getaway to K2, Broad peak, Gasherbrum and many other well know mountains. After spending one night in Skardu, you will drive along the Indus then Shigar river to Askoli. Askoli is the last civilisation before you enter into the wildness of Karakoram mountains. Your walking season of k2 and Gondogoro La trek starts from Askoli. After few days of walking on Baltoro Glacier you will reach Concordia, which is also know as the heart of The Karakoram. From here you will be able to see the five of the 8,000 meter peaks and may other well know mountains. You will spend one or the two nights near k2 then head towards Ali Camp to cross the Gondogoro Pass. Crossing the Gondogoro pass is always subject to the weather. If the weather is clear then you will start climbing the pass early in the morning to avoid any kind of rockfalls. Top of the Gondogoro pass provides the best view of k2, broad peak, Gasherbrum and many other peaks. From the Pass you will descend into Hushe Valley, which will then lead you to Khapulu and back to Skardu. Your tour will end in Islamabad where you will take your flight back home.
