Today we are exploring the beautiful Peak District village, Castleton. Situated in the High Peak district of Derbyshire, the population of Castleton was 642 at the 2011 Census. Surrounded by the Three Peaks, Castleton is well known for its beautiful surrounding landscapes of Hope Valley, and is popular with hikers, cyclists, and tourists alike. The Blue John cavern found in Castleton is the only cave where you can find Blue John stone. We absolutely adored this stunning walk around such a scenic village, and we hope you enjoy it, too!
