Timna Park is located in the southernmost desert of Israel, near Egypt and the Red Sea. The area has some of the oldest copper mines in the world, with a history of production of more than 6000 years ago during the Chalcolithic period (4500-3300 BCE), resuming into the New Kingdom of Egypt.

These mines served in the humble beginnings of extracting ore from mineral-rich rocks found in this location, therefore initiating the use of copper on regular basis.

The video explores the mines, technology and minerals used in Timna.
