Prepping the dough and freezing it ahead of time, saves so much time when you want to hand out cookies to all your neighbors and friends. Every year I make the same Christmas cookies. I often throw in a couple new recipes but these are my basic four favorite cookies I always make.

Cookies are always better freshly baked, so all you have to do is pull the frozen cookie dough balls out of the freezer, place them on a baking sheet, and bake for an extra 2 minutes. Its wise to always have some sugar cookie dough in the freezer for when the kiddos feel like baking.
