During the 18th and 19th February 2023, the southern section of the East Coast Mainline between just south of Peterborough and King's Cross was shut for engineering works. A nice surprise was the use of 47 815 and 47 813 and the West Coast Railway company's Riviera mk2 set for a couple of additional services between London Liverpool Street and Peterborough via Cambridge and Ely. We take a return trip on one of the services.
