At Cliffhanger 4wd Event
its not all sandy creek beds & desert views, there are plenty of rocks. After getting to todays staging area there were 3 winch wall stages to be completed by competitors. We all looked at them in the morning & thought WTF how are we even getting up those virgin rock walls. The answer was some with ease, some with difficulty.
This was our second winch wall of the day & the one that added the most dents to the new front bar by the looks of it. We had a plan of where we wanted to go up the track & nothing about it worked. We ended up where we definitely didnt want to be & beached on a rock at the top. Phil got under & stacked some sizeable rocks front & rear so we had some traction & I used alot of right foot to get to the top.
Check out the incab from SS11 Killa's Wall. We had a leaky airline which meant I had the compressor going constantly making it abit difficult to hear Phil out of the car. Ive cut out the 2mins spent stacking rocks & our incab time has us finishing the stage in 9:45 (scoring sheets had a different time) Silver Fox Racing
