In my mother's quiet hometown of Savannakhet, Laos. The city has many classic examples of early 20th century French Colonial Architecture. Many of those buildings are now in a sad state of disrepair. At the center of the old part of town is Saint Teresa Catholic Church built by French colonials. If someone took the the time to restore many of these historic buildings you would have a quite a spectacular streetscape for tourism.
