I’ve always appreciated the gentle sound of the celesta, which is often used as a substitute for the even more etherial glass harmonica, one of Benjamin Franklin’s many inventions. I chose to score the celesta in my latest composition, which for reasons that should be clearly evident I have titled Music Box Dancer.

I composed it in Symphony Pro 6 on my 2024 13” iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil Pro. The app provided the canvas for composition, produced the score, & generated the celesta audio, which I then transferred to my MacBook Pro & prepared the video using iMovie.
