As someone who was diagnosed with depression a few years ago and who went through some pretty lengthy depressive episodes, I wanted to make a video that I wish would have existed at that time. As I’ve gotten a much better handle on my mental health these days. This is my master guide of realistic ways to get out of or recover from a depressive episode or rut, to reset, and to give yourself a mental health boost. Some might call this getting my life together or getting back on track, but I simply think these are normal ebbs and flows for someone dealing with clinical depression. Rather I look at it as managing my mental health during a rut or a slump. In this video you’ll find healing advice from therapy and personal learnings, my rut necessities, my gentle and productive go to things I do to get out of a depressive episode, the rules and healthy habits I try to maintain, how I plan my days using Notion, as well as my simple realistic morning routine and night routine.
