Fender Texas Special Strat Pickups vs Fender Fat 50's. Fender Texas Special Start Pickups. These are the Fender Texas Specials stratocaster pickups which I compare to a set of Fender Custom Shop fat 50s Stratocater pickups. I was shocked out how similar the Texas specials sounded to the Fat 50s. Let me know what you thought.

The Fender Texas Specials are Stevie Ray Vaughan's signature set although he died before actually using them. I'm not sure on the origin of the Fender Fat 50s stratocaster pickups but I consider them some of the best sounding strat pickups ever made.

The Bareknuckle 63 Veneer board is another pickup I consider to be the best stratocaster pickup so thought it'd be useful to compare this to the Texas Specials and Fat 50s in the hop that I'd selected the best Stratocaster pickups and they'd all sound a little different.

In summary. Buy any of them. They all sound very similar so are all therefore the best Stratocaster pickups.
