In this video I explore a few of the trails in a new 1,500 acre open space park in Fairfield, CA. I went on its grand opening day - first day open to the public. Solano Land Trust has been working towards this grand opening for years. There are about 12 miles of trails, a nice Welcome Plaza with restrooms, benches, etc. Parking is $5.00.
The long name may be difficult to pronounce, but it is significant. The Native American Patwin tribe that lived on these lands are honored here, and the name reflects their heritage. It means Southern Rock Home of the Patwin People.
