Hi friends ! welcome to Chennai Samayalagam

In this video we are going to see how to make potato gravy in tamil (urulai kizhangu gravy)

Ingredients – potato – 3 (medium size), ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp, onion – 2 (medium sized), tomato – 2 (medium sized), one handful of coriander leaves, oil – 3 tbsp, chilli powder – ¾ tsp, coriander powder – ½ tsp, garam masala powder – ½ tsp, cumin powder – ½ tsp, turmeric powder – ¼ tsp, salt as necessary

Note : 1. rinse the potatoes and boil, peel and cut them as shown in the video, 2. Chop onions, tomatoes and coriander leaves, 3. We are making this potato gravy for 3 to 4 persons

keep a pan in the stove and pour oil to it – add chopped onions and sauté until it turns light golden brown – add ginger garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell goes away – add tomatoes and sauté until it become soft – then add chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and sauté for 30 secs in low flame – now add potato, 2 cups of water, necessary salt and mix – close the lid and cook for 5 mins in medium flame - finally add coriander leaves and switch off the stove – now the yummy potato gravy is ready to serve
